CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Requirements:

  • Advance Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, C&S, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years of working experience in residential high-rise development, with a strong understanding of construction methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to read plans and specifications.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Understanding and awareness of ISO 9001, 14001, & 45001 requirements and practices on-site is preferable.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise and coordinate with consultants and contractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration on all site matters.
  • Oversee and drive project construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, approved drawings, and high-quality standards within the set contract period and budget.
  • Resolve any issues or challenges encountered on-site to maintain project progress and quality.
  • Ensure stringent quality control of workmanship to meet Qlassic and BuildQas’ standards.
  • Implement and monitor safe working practices by contractors on-site to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Lead and manage the site team, including resident architect, resident engineer, clerk-of-works, and clerical staff.
  • Attend site meetings, provide follow-ups on raised matters, and effectively manage and coordinate the work of the Main Contractor and Nominated Subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with consultants to acquire necessary information and issue site instructions for smooth project implementation.
  • Work closely with the Contract Department and consultant QS for accurate monthly progress payment certification.
  • Employ problem-solving skills to address site matters related to time, quality, and cost implications, ensuring the forecasted site progress and stage billing are met.
  • Provide valuable ideas, recommendations, and technical advice to minimize cost and time implications for any site issues that may arise.
  • Actively participate in meetings with internal parties, consultants, and related authorities, contributing to effective project coordination.
  • Deliver regular updates, reports, recommendations, and analysis to the Management to ensure transparent and informed decision-making.
  • Drive progress by ensuring critical paths and key milestones are met, keeping the project on track and within deadlines.
  • Flexibly undertake any other duties assigned by the Management to support overall project success.

Position

SITE SUPERVISOR

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
  • Preferably specializing in Engineering – Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
  • Able to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To supervise and monitor site worker efficiency and productivity of progress on site.
  • To arrange regular meeting with worker or sub-contractor to match targeted schedule and resolve site matters.
  • To attend all project site meeting as well as technical meeting with client or consultant.
  • Submit the site progress report.
  • Ensure consistently high of standard work and quality standards in accordance with products specification.
  • Direct and Supervise day to day operations of project team as per operational procedures.
  • Ensure all material requisitions are adequate and timely.
  • Control and monitor all work to be completed as per the project schedule.
  • Liaise with Project Manager regarding cost control, waste management, variations and confirmation of instructions.
